This vegan alt-eggnog, is the perfect boozy yet still healthy holiday bev to serve both vegan and non-vegan guests alike.
Serving: 4-5 cups
- 3 cups cashew mylk or any nut mylk of your choice
- 1 can full fat coconut milk
- ⅓ cup cashews (soaked for atleast 30 minutes, best overnight)
- ¼ cup + 2tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 oz / about 5 dashes aromatic bitters
- 3 to 4 oz dark spiced rum, bourbon, brandy, or whisky
- Extra nutmeg for garnish
- Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender.
- Serve as is, or heat over stove top for warm nog.
- Top with freshly grated nutmeg before serving.
